Anyone interested in participating in an online hockey pool with GTOL users please respond. I think I can do it with even five of us.

OK....us guys at work are doing a pool....I want to start a pool with us guys and gals....once you've confirmed that your interested, I'll post a link for the form where you pick 20 names from a list - forwards, defence, goalies...you'll highlight or underline your picks and email it to me...I'll enter 'em in and send you the pool link and password...you can do trades and trash talk each other...It'll be fun, man...It only costs me $20 to start the pool and it's on me.

do u need to know anything to play along? I love a good game and I would play but "my Domi" just retired... who can I have as my captain now?? Not only did he leave the game but carrying on with that Hussy... sorry, I'm still bitter! Hockey will never be the same for me :lol:

I barely know who any of the players are these days I don't think I'd be much fun there. what do u have to do, pick a dream team and it keeps track of their points, etc. and you see who wins?

Well, you're given a list of players to choose from...you can check online like at nhl.com to research your picks..but it's only for fun so there's no presseure to win plus you can change your picks on the fly

Ok, the fact that I am in should be enough incentive to get a few other participants. I know there are folks lining up to best me at games and you know what .... this is the one they can do it in! now if it was a poker game... look out but hockey pool.... here's hoping for some beginners luck!

Just in case you don't know "Hockey" is that game they play on the ice. Their "bats" are called sticks and they get thrown out for hoisting over their shoulders. It's like every hit is a fast bunt. The "balls" are called pucks and they are flat on 2 sides and black and the players aren't allowed to touch them with their hands unles you are the goalie. (kinda like the catcher ) :lol:

when you really stop to think about it Hockey is just like baseball with bigger uniforms and less grass. Who said I didn't know anything about hockey... oh yeah right, that was me!

OK....the numbers are from the start of season.....the form is confusing (at least for me at first), so we need 20 names, 3 per row....I'll rig it for me to win anyway...

Ok I've sent my picks in. Seeing as I don't really follow hockey and only joined to keep Mike from bugging us (and it was free) I will now reveal my strategy.

Picked all Leafs, then anybody whose name had a Z in it and then teams that are my favourite colours.

You guys just watch me clean up at the end of the season :wink:
