DEATHS:

POTTIE, Shirley Lorraine July 17th, 1940 - November 3rd, 2005 Peacefully, with family at her side, Lorraine Passed away on November 3rd, 2005 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. With courage and grace, Lorraine fought an 18 month battle with lung cancer. Beloved daughter of Mae Slaunwhite; cherished mother of Brenda Pottie, Ronald Pottie and Kim Prior; Grandmother of Chelsea, Matthew, Jacob, Sarah, Jennifer and Jason; Great-grandmother of Jordan and Jade. Lorraine is survived by three sisters and a brother, and will be remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Lorraine's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 19th, at 1:00 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. HESTER, Blaney M. Hester (Smith) Blaney of Brussels, Ontario passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels, on Thursday, November 17th, 2005. Born in Goderich, Ontario on November 2nd, 1090, Hester was in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late J. Eric Blaney (1996). Dear mother of David Blaney and his wife Sheana Campbell of Brussels and John Blaney and his wife Sharron on Belleville, Ontario. Dear sister of Paul Smith and his wife Carol of Fergus, Ontario. Also loved by her grandchildren, Sean and his wife Becky, Kyle, Eachunn and Kieran and her great granddaughter Evelyn. Predeceased by her brothers Don and Bruce. Cremation has taken place. Friends were received by the family from 7-9 pm on Tuesday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, 401 Albert Street, Brussels, Ontario where a Celebrations of Hester;s life will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Olwyn Coughlin officiating. EAGLES, Sharyn Euphemia Mary Peacefully at her residence in West Vancouver, on Thursday, November 10th, 2005. Sharyn Eagles formerly of Flesherton in her 64th year. Cherished daughter of Frank and the late Jean Eagles. Loving sister of Norma Jean (Don) Smith of Georgetown and Paul (Cathy) Eagles of Branchton. She will always be loved and remembered by her nieces and nephews, Paul (Julie) Smith of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Taraesa (Randy) Tellier of Rodney, Russell Eagles of Taiwan, Ryan Eagles and Rob Eagles both of Waterloo. The family received friends at the Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Thursday November 17th, 2005 from 7-9 pm. The service will be held at the Gentle Shepherd Community Church, Eugenia on Friday November 18th, 2005 at 11:00 am. Interment Flesherton Cemetery. DAVIS, Wallace R.C.A.F. WWII Veteran 1942 - 1947 Peacefully, on Sunday November 20th, 2005 at the William Osler Health Centre, Georgetown campus. Wally 'Bunt', in his 83rd year, husband of the late Jean (O'Hanley). Loving father of Mike Davis and Colleen Brown and father-in-law of Wayne Brown. Proud and cherished grandfather of Anna and Emily Brown. Dear brother-in-law of Claire Eckert and Marion Cleary. Predeceased by his brother Ernie and by his aunt Pearl Anderson. Wally 'Bunt' will be sadly missed by the many people whom he touched in his lifetime. Friends were received at the J.S. BELL, David Lloyd Korean War Veteran Peacefully on November 18th, 2005 at the William Osler Health Centre, Georgetown Campus in his 75th year. Loving husband of Nellie for the past fifty-one years. Beloved father of Deborah Smith and her husband Peter and David and his wife Star. Proud grandfather of Ryan Bell, Christopher and Bryan Smith. Dear brother of Harry. David was predeceased by his sister Eunice Landry and his mother Mary Bell. David will be fondly remembered by his niece Sandra Delargy and his cousin Irene Selmes and her husband David.
