Many of us have not lived up to this agreement, at the RETRO SITE it will be changed slightly and will be enforced much more strictly, watch for the changes over the next couple of days!

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission here at GTOL is to provide a place for people who have an interest in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada, to come together. Whether you are a current resident and want to know what is happening around town and its history or you once lived here and are looking to reconnect , GTOL is the place for you.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this forum is to help people connect or reconnect with friends, relatives, former classmates or co-workers who live or once lived in Georgetown. We provide a venue to share memories and thoughts about Georgetown, share views that you feel others would be interested in, or offer a bit of humour to cheer up your day! This is a friendly forum, and we ask that everyone respect the opinions and feelings of others. Acting in a disrespectful way towards another member, a moderator or an administrator will result in serious consequences including the removal of your membership from GTOL.

CODE OF CONDUCT
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. If we are already members do we have to re-register agreeing to the mission statement again? I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to the site.

Hi Linus, no that is not necessary, existing members are grandfathered. I just ask if they would adhere to the rules and understand the consequences of not. We want the board to be a place folks feel comfortable coming to and posting with out fear of attack or ridicule!
