Who moved the furniture?

Postby Al Darby » Sun Apr 15, 2007 7:48 pm

Now I know how a blind person feels when someone moves the furniture. 8) :? 8)

I like the new "leaner" look, but have been bumping my shins trying to find threads and topics I've been following.

Us "Oldies" take a while to adapt, but I'll get there .. eventually.

I suggested to Don that some of the forums could be lumped together but no posts have been deleted, as far as I know.

Totally agree Jen, it was getting out of hand.

I keep reminding myself that I must hand in my "old" glasses. The Lions Club takes "old" glasses to 3rd world countryies and they're left in bins (or whatever) and visually impaired people just sort through them till they find a pair that helps them.

On average, I get a new pair every other year and invariably the only difference is some "fine tuning" of the script and here's these poor souls lucky to get even one pair. Gives you cause to pause.

I hear you Al, sorry about that, the description under each tells where things are and as Jen stated, no post has been deleted. I will be going through each post and if it has no reply, I may get rid of it, other then news posting that I intend to keep active for at least 6 months, then send them to the archives.

Don

Don, no need to apologise, it's just my segue into discussing the new leaner layout.

I have no problem with removing offensive posts, but I think you'd probably have better things to do than checking each post to see if somebody replied to it, or not. To my way of thinking that's a "make work" exercise, i.e. if you've got nothing to do, then make work.

Old adage: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

:)
Al, I work with Ivan Crabtree and that was his favourite saying when some one from upper management suggest doing the job a different way, Ivan would always say, "IF IT ISN'T BROKE, WHY FIX IT?" then walk away. Gosh, was he a fun guy to work with!
