Quoting

Postby Al Darby » Sat Apr 14, 2007 9:36 pm

When you [quote] a previous poster, the (natural) inclination is to go down to the [/quote] tag and press <Enter> twice to get a 'blank' line.

In fact, what you're doing is creating TWO 'blank' lines. The [/quote] tag automatically creates a 'blank' line, so by pressing <Enter> twice, you end up with two.

Not me, but my evil twin brother, the Virgo, seems to get twitchy about it. :)

What bothers me is when people quote someone but then remove who the name of the original poster. That makes it very easy to put words in people's mouths, so to speak.

And I didn't know Al had a brother who is a Virgo. Was it by intention or accident? I myself once had a bad experience with a bicycle seat and a slipping chain while going uphill that brought tears to my eyes, but I pulled myself together (so to speak). Does he have a silver ring from George Bush yet?........
