Just finish the music...rough take
Read or listen ....maybe it will take you back to warmer and greener times.

How Can Life Get Better Than This? (Neil Cotton Sept. ’06)

http://www.soundclick.com/neilcotton

Dawn just broke the dew’s aglow
The sun shines low on the first hole
A pair of deer prance ‘cross the green
I nailed my drive over Copper Creek

How can life get better than this?

Fairways soft ball takes one hop
Then the long walk to my next shot
It soars high stops on the green
My first putt drops for a birdie three

How can life get better than this?

Often Bud will kick my butt
But he just missed his first putt
His second drops… for a four
But pars no good… mines the winning score

How can life get better than this?

~B~
The game goes on I lose the match
That’s OK golf’s more than that

How can life get better than this?

Anyone Thinking Golf

Yes Neil I sure am. I like the break during the winter, but when March rolls around I think about going to the Dome to hit balls. Time to get loosened up. I just changed my screen saver to a picture of a golf hole too.

Won't be long :!:

Guess it's just you and I thinking golf Neil, judging by the non-responses of this post. Got my clubs out of the basement yesterday and put new name labels on them. Going to the Dome today to start the loosening up process. Because of all the snow we have, the start of the season may be a little later this year. Are you working at Eagle Ridge again this year Neil?

:)
Looks like you are not alone, Mr. Woods looks like he is into it. Although I do not play, I am looking forward to it as my bros take me out a couple of times to drive the cart and be their caddy on wheels!

Oh, you're not the only ones thinking about golf! I'm anxious to see greenery again so I can see how far I can hit balls into the trees at Don Valley.

I don't mind that there's still too much snow out there -- I could use two or three more weeks to get used to some swing changes I've made, anyway. Besides, isn't snow cover good for greens? Last year the greens were in rough shape for a while once the season started.

I hope we have nice golf weather this summer. I'm hoping to get out to a few more courses this year than I have in the past.

I see snow in the forecast for later this week.

Golf in 2008 is looking like a rumour at this point.
